Agree with the above, we seem hell bent on trying to score the perfect goal, if its a half chance, take a shot. Need to find some end of season form soon. As for corners again, total waste.

And that's not being negative, simply stating an opinion, and an honest one, and one we can agree on.

Agreed on all points, said as much regarding wanting to walk the ball over the goal line and it's not just corners, we seem incapable of putting anything into the box from anywhere in the final third of the pitch (apart from when James scores from the half way line!).

Piroe has been bit of a damp squib and definitely has not lived up to expectations

Back in October Farke acknowledged Piro's striking qualities, stating, "With Joel there are always different qualities, and some of his tempt me to play him in the striker position for his finishing, of course.
I struggle to find players in the whole country with his finishing."

However, Farke then highlighted the importance of the team's tactical setup, explaining, "But for us, we want the ball at each and every moment. We want a player to lead the line with intelligence. We need a striker who stretches it with running behind and smart movement. But, with all respect to Joel, he's not the lightning-quick player who stretches the line, so he arrives late with instinctive finish. If our striker has to fulfill other tasks, then he's perhaps not always the perfect option up front."

Has me wondering (yet again) this obsession with playing a lone striker is the "damn problem" which has been an issue for many seasons as even with differing striker style options all our coaches have stuck to it via the tactical chess-passing game scenario.

Just feel we've missed a trick by not going more direct in our quest to not lose at all costs in certain games - such a change may have caught out certain teams we've failed to perform against.

    Just saying.

Todays game was basically Sunderland part 2 , exactly the same tactics which got Sunderland a point and to be honest you could argue they should have had all 3 had Jack Clarke's finishing been better , well today Blackburn did get all 3 !

Was obvious what was going on from the get go but it appears we only have one way of playing , its the same way that's cost us pts in various games during the season , you know the games where a team susses out they can't go toe to toe with us in Footballing terms so they set up to basically kill the game with 2 banks of 4/5 and then just hope to catch us on the break.

So why can't Farke just mix it up and try something different and why oh why does he leave it so late with the subs?

His stubborn attitude is undoing all the foundations built of this season and its ridiculously frustrating.

Sorry MT, but that's about as much drivel (from Der Fuhrer) as we suffered from the yank at around this time last year. Gobbledegook of the first order. Not wanting to hark back to hallowed times to much, but an you imagine Revie, or Clough, or, or, or....spouting such brainnumbing nonesense?

We have adopted, over the last couple of months at least, tactics which appear to be aimed at boring the opposition to death (along with the rest of us watching), as opposed to the direct, threatening, aggressive, EXCITING football that gave us results like those against Ipswich, Leicester and lets not for get the skin-of-the-teeth win that Chelsea got after us having given them the fright of their lives!

The same players that are sending us all to sleep (or in Revs case at least, the bottle), were putting all to the sword not long ago. Said in previous threads and in previous seasons, players don't suddenly go bad. Their ineptitude isn't structural, its taught.

Take those last two sentences, and apply them to seasons 21/22 and 22/23

No, it was negative, my opinion, an honest one and it’s really not important that you agree with any of it. Platitude springs to mind WTF.

    In Farke we trust 😊
