Yeah - I watched the game. ManU got the benefit of the doubt on both. Smith’s arm wasn’t in an unnatural position and the ball came at him at great pace from a wicked deflection. No penalty imo.
Christie was fouled on the line of the box and the foul continued into the area. On field penalty given, var decided there’d been a ‘clear and obvious’ mistake in giving it. Utter bollox.

Less than 1% chance. So, to sum it up - no its not possible.

If we had won the Everton game, there would have been a slim chance, but not now.

I think some people struggle with the meaning of Possible.

6 games left = 18pts up for grabs.
    We're 10pts behind 5th place = mathmatically possible.

What is the probability of finishing 5th. Very low but certainly not zero.

Impossible doesn't exist. If you speak to a Theoretical Physicist or a Quark Mathematician about absolutes and impossibles they will explain there is no such thing.

There would need to be an extraordinary chain of events for us to overturn Spur's 10pt lead but on the showing they put in at SJP yesterday they are sinking link a stone. Son & Maddison both subbed off yesterday. Spur's Fans are raging at how bad 'Ange Ball' is!

    Possible, not probable.

Strange how they admit that when any of the "favs" have had an advantage but at the same time it's to late to correct it.

If they are aware then why can't it be corrected at the time.

Yeah, nah, yeah, nah, yeah, nah, yeah but naaaaah.

Can't have that no can we?

Yesterday I was fuming early on in our match when the ref was letting the Spurs players get away with clattering our lads. So when we gave it back to the Spurs lot and he kept his cards in his pocket I give him a round of applause.

Fans want to see consistency. Parity. Regardless of which team is on the pitch the rules show be administered unilaterally and equally.

Sadly we'd have to remove the human element from decision making entirely to remove the bias to the top clubs.

Whilst it ain't going away anytime soon, the job of the PGMOL etc is to reduce the variable between the good refs and the bad ones.

Are we going to let the game play or are we going to be pedantic? We all want a free flowing game as a spectator, we all want the players to be safe from dangerous play. That is all. We really don't want the ref thinking they are centre of attention or VAR altering the course of a match (cough cough) PSG Away.

This is the reality in which we exist. All we can do as a fan base and wider football supporter community across all the clubs is keep hammering the PGMOL, EPL, FA and officials to take accountability for their blatant favouritism and poor standards of officiation!
