    O/T R I P Derek Underwood

One of the all-time great test spin bowlers. Remember him well loved his style of bowling left arm spin to the right hand batsman.

Absolutely unplayable on a wet pitch , got his autograph as a kid when he was fielding on the boundary at a John Player League game at Bradford .

    RIP Derek .

    RIP Derek.

I think I missed the 'prime' of his career. I remember him as someone who could be unplayable on his day but those days (at least for England) seemed few and far between. Given the way the game has gone these past 20 years I guess that pattern would be even more exaggerated and on those 'bad' days he would be getting real a hammering.
