& thats why there will never be peace in the North. People in the limelight stoking things up for no reason. All he needed to do was celebrate, rap the tricolour around him, job done. Same as the poppy incident. Didn't want to wear a shirt with it on, just don't play that day or be named as a sub that doesn't come on. Most are then, non the wiser. The North is still hostile/bitter in places on both sides & it doesn't help things

After seeing the thread title I thought the o/p was going to say something along the lines of it being a bit grating that McClean has been doing the whole rebel thing his whole career while now playing for one of the most snivelling, lickspittle clubs in the country. I would have agreed.
