    Top 5 - CL spots

Not looking good at the minute.

Both City and Le Arse 1-0 down and we need them both to win.

At minute on points it's Germany and Italy that get the extra CL places.

If City and Le Arse go out, there is a very small chance we get - like minimal.

Does have the advantage of us being able to laugh at Arsenal, though.

    Silver linings and all that.

    City equaliser.

I think 5th is beyond us now anyway.

Agreed but getting 5th as a CL spot pushes everything else down a place.

6th and 7th is the only way we will get Europe now.. 6ht is what we need to aim for... realistically

5th jas been well out of the equation for a while. If you are still harbouring hopes then you may as well think 4th anyway as the points are the same.

    they're not the same..

I was more hoping there would be a 5th for the simple fact that Europe below that becomes 6th, 7th, 8th..

The fact is that we’re in a position now to get there and 6th is in our hands. If we get it, we deserve it. If not, we don’t. It’s always tough to gain/hold positions at this end of the table especially when 2 of the ‘6’ are close behind you.

I don’t think 5th is mathematically impossible (in terms of CL places), if Liverpool and West Ham make big come backs, and Villa do well, and we win respective competitions… then is it still impossible?

As for where we’ll finish, I’m not ruling out 5th… look at Spurs games coming up.

I had read we might have Tripps, Pope, Miggy and Joelinton back by Burnley, and Wilson is back in training… if that’s the case then we get a big boost when it could really help.

We play out next 2 games before Spurs play… if we close the gap to 4 points before they play Arsenal, and add a bit extra pressure, then we could really have a shot at it.
