Stick with one striker, or try two

Team is flat, lacking spark, ultimately not scoring, so do you continue with whats got you so far, or maybe take a calculated risk, change playing system, players, and give something fresh a crack. Tough call to make at this stage, but still think Bamford is best we currently have to hold up ball, connect other players, maybe alongside either Joseph or Gelhardt, need that physical edge / energy that both those bring.

Interesting, and no more risky than sticking with what we have been doing (none of the options will see us drop entirely out of the play-off positions, we have too many points for that).

Agree on Bamford, and it struck me reading what you said about hold-up ball, and connecting other players, what about using him in the Hernandez role (which we have needed to replace for an age!), with BOTH Joseph and Gelhardt, with Summerville and James feeding from either wing?

Like I say Rev, the worst that can happen is we end up in a different place in the top 6 to where we are today. The best? Who knows but it might just disrupt the opposition, IF the change can be made (to formation and player roles), in time and effectively, big ask.

As to will Der Fuhrer, I suspect not, unfortunately.

    Agree.

The Bamford purple patch has been over for 7 or 8 games now and it was only the last match where a change was made to no avail , in my humble opinion Farke picked the wrong option in Piroe , should have given young Joseph a chance.

3 games to go and get things right.....

Think there was a typo Rev - didn’t you mean 7 or 8 years ago? 🙃

Stick to our guns, Bamford will get the goals.

Joseph is largely unproven and one tap in doesn't make him worthy of a start, Piroe was a bad signing not because he is a bad player but because he doesn't suit the style we have and has largely been forced to play a role that he isn't particularly good at.

Stick with Bamford and we lose. A draw is a loss for us right now. We need to be thinking playoffs and maybe Joseph or Joffy give us some magic going in to them.

The reality is that we couldn’t even win at home against 2 teams in relegation form. We scored no goals, at home, with our “ best squad” with a chance to all but lock auto promotion.
