Thread: Average attendance 10905

What is especially pleasing is the amount of young kids I regularly see attending games. I sit in the Pavis so I don't mean the ones in the Family stand. Is it possible that the younger less cynical fans are coming along because they care less about winning and more about being entertained?
Of course, Notts will grind them down eventually and they will eventually become just like the cynical old sods that constitute a majority of this boards members, me included.

This is astonishing and can't ever remember this level of support in 50 years.

I'm the same boat as you. All I can ever remember is Owners moaning about our lack of support.
I have my doubts as to it being at the same level next season

If we want to sell plenty of season tickets again we probably need to get Dan Crowley and JJ to commit to contract extensions
Macca already has of course so he will only go if we get an offer we can't refuse

Every once in a while, the stars align and you get a unique opportunity to do something special. We are in that place now and I desperately want us to take it, the is no limit to where our club 'could' go. I so hope the owners can see this generational opportunity.

Indeed very promising though it was better (ok different times) the first time we were in the 4th tier.

For anyone moaning about where Notts now are they could do worse that read some of the posts when Scardino wanted "eight through the gate" in 2002 - https://www.bbc.co.uk/nottingham/spe...football.shtml eg

    Brazil Not Good!!!!!
I would just like to say that if we are not careful then we could be looking at 3rd divition football next season and this 8 through the gate won't work untill you get someone big at Meadow Lane and we need to start winning, Also I'm sorry to say but Notts is a too much of a big club for Mr Brazil to take over at this point maybe in the conference or 3rd Div but not a side that is pushing to get into 1st Divition come on Pete Get someone of a weel known class and stature, For the sake of Notts County, whoi you said you want to make us number 1 in the city well the rate things are going at the moment we'll be 3rd going to 30th.

We have to continue to price the kids prices low whilst I don’t believe Forest sell outs means many Forest fans are coming I do believe kids coming to the age of wanting to go to football is now an absolutely massive opportunity to grow our fan base.

Notts attendances were the 57th best in the 92.
    Thank you upthemagpies.
So home attendances in League 2 have increased for us by 37.9% between 2017/18 and 2023/24. And 2017/18 was a more successful season results wise than this.
Do you have the average figure for the whole of League 2 this season so we can compare it to the 4491 of 2017/18?
Thank you in hope and anticipation.

Great point. For the first time in decades, we have great owners, some quality players, and high attendances. If we don't do something with that, we'll never do anything. Next season is huge in terms of maintaining some kind of momentum and an upward trajectory, however fast or slow.
