    Gateshead

    Gateshead won’t be eligible to play in the National League playoffs as they was refused a ten year tenure from Gateshead council which is a requirement from the EFL so Solihull get a bye in the next round

    Why would the council refuse them this if there’s a chance that they may get promoted? I wouldn’t fancy their chances in the next election if it’s run by conservatives

    Why wait until the day after the season finished. This denies another team having a crack at the playoffs….should that have been a consideration? There are examples of this happening before…

    I had a read of the link and was suprised to see that Altrincham have now been given the bye after originally stating that Solihull would be given it earlier,what a shambles it’s turned out to be
