There is an article today in 20 Minutes.ch.fr reporting on an American owner of a Brazilian football team.

He is claiming that match fixing, involving the match officials, is endemic in European football, as well as Brazil.

Hard to argue with him when you look at what is going on. Once upon a time, Coventry getting to the final would have been a romantic fairy tail.

That counts for nothing compared to the money a final between City and United will generate globally.

And yet, the most dubious decision against us this season was allowing the Luton goal when Trafford was blatantly taken out and the VAR Assistant Ref was ignored as he tried to suggest that maybe they were getting it wrong. The alleged beneficiaries of the Forest debacle are the very same Luton and yet Luton are a smaller club than either Forest or Burnley. This conspiracy to relegate the smaller clubs seems to be benefitting the smallest club in the League.

I still tend to side with Cock Up rather than Conspiracy.

Ironically enough I thought the season's worse VAR decision was against us at Forest. They weren't quibbling then.

I think they're on shaky ground with two of their complaints here, the first two decisions, while both in the 'seen em given' category, can be explained and justified, I'm quite happy that neither were given. The third one should have had Taylor sent to the screen, why he wasn't is inexplicable.

It will be interesting to see whether Forest stand behind their statement, and how they do it.

Initially it sounded like "we'll see you in court". But to open up and prove a case of corruption within the governing body themselves...i just can't see it happening.
