St Totteringham's Day (just); Hull provide hope; Tykes limp into playoffs; Donny Ditto!

CalverleyBoy's (xOEO) 1-1 classic "sit on the fence" strategy finally paid off and he collected half of the twenty-four points available. Spurs gamely tried to provide a full set of draws, but they allowed Arsenal to cling to the false hope that Man City might slip up before the end of the season (possibly even against Spurs?!). I'm guessing they won't though?

Dek (xxEO) and Ubique (OxOO) actively scored nine points to join Johnny_Default (xOOO) and the Strike One stay-aways. Simply not losing (or posting) is sometimes good enough. Ask Barnsley and Doncaster fans...

Dalek has almost certainly done more than enough to win this year, but Chezzer still lurks in the distance, three ahead of Tichi.

Another set of four failed to post this weekend. Summer must be coming!

There were three draws, so Johnny_Default moves to 99 points. Any Strike One (Alf and Stompy), Strike Two (Belper and Sniffer) or Strike Three posters would've scored nine, six or two for their lack of effort.

    The results

    (PL) Spurs v Arsenal (2-3)
    (C) Hull v Ipswich (3-3)
    (L1) Barnsley v Northampton (1-1)
    (L2) Gillingham v Doncaster (2-2)

The next fixtures are out as a separate thread.

    All the best! Stay safe!

    Thanks Hopey!

As I've often said in the past, this makes me look at games/results outside of the Leeds United bubble and, when I'm using my brain correctly (seldom) it also makes me ponder how the teams involved might face up to each other from a tactical and personnel standpoint.

It's no surprise to me to see the likes of Dalek, Chezzer, Tichi and Totty near the top of this league as, at least from what I can see from their regular posts elsewhere, all seem able to separate the wheat from the chaff when it comes to watching football.

The rest of us? Not so much, but it's just a bit of harmless fun, eh?

Speaking of which, I've put the "Dash" fixtures up (the final games of the Premier League and this competition) if anyone wants to have a punt.
