American Consortium Reported Interested in Buying Preston North End Football Club

American consortium reported to be interested in buying Preston North End football club.

Since PNE owner Trevor Hemmings died in 2021, the remaining family members have
    continued to run the club.
The accounts for 2022-23 showed £10.6m of investment, with a further £6.7m in interest
    free loans injected since.
But the Hemmings family are open to offers from the right party.

In 2022 American businessman, Chris Kirchner, had a bid accepted , but his period of
exclusivity as prefered bidder expired, so he returned to try & buy Derby County FC.
    which did not go through.

But Chris Kurchner was found guilty in January 2024, of wire fraud & money laundering.
