I did say it after we beat them at Deadwood.He was their best player that night.Him and the striker from Coventry with the lads we already had and we would have been fine me thinks.Hamer was another one that got away.

Have to hold my hand up with Sammy, I saw him in a couple of games early on in the season and I was seriously unimpressed, then I lost interest in Blackburn and Sammy, had a spell in hospital and it must have been four months later that I checked the Championship top scorers, I nearly fell off the end of the settee when I saw that Sammy was way out on top, wtf do I know eh ?
