Sheerin admits need to strengthen his side to escape the play-off zone. "We're in a real dogfight now. It'll take a lot of graft to get out of it. We'll need to look at bringing in another couple of bodies if we're to start going in the right direct - view external link (www.arbroath-mad.co.uk/rprt/mtch/in_a_real_dogfight_now_820503/index.shtml)

It's unfortunate that we have an improving Airdrie below us. They seem to be finding the players and the funding right now. 5 yellow cards against the Rangers and an odd goal defeat looks ominous.

My money's on a race to the bottom between East Fife, us and Brechin. We already gave the fifers a start. If we are to avoid away days at Links Park then 2 wins at home in January are crucial. Good signings are essential.

Next home match on Sat 11th Jan against the Hedge Trimmers is a must win match - it's a chance to close the points gap to only 2 points.

January also needs to be the start of losing games at Gayfield - we need to stop losing goals at home.

East Fife, Brechin and Forfar will all soon be getting dragged into the relegation zone.

We have had our run of bad results, we are due a little luck, the rub of the turf and time for our key players to return to form.

C'mon the 'broath.
