Sad day for me as my friend and neighbour who I went to home matches with passed away, he did drink too much and that is what no doubt contributed to his death.

Now we all like a few beers but I wouldn't want it to be the death of me.

He was mid 50's, I've known him over 30 years and he has always been a drinker, too much of one unfortunately.

Better to have a good life and die younger. Imagine if every night ended with 'and then we drove home' rather than ' the police came and freed us from the penguin enclosure' or ' but at least I got the nurses number'.
Problem with drink is that it tends to take people slowly at the end. Alcoholics rarely die peacefully in their sleep
