I'm guessing around 20,000 plus all those thousands waiting for season tickets. The don must be furious that he can't fit them all in at once. ;)

15,077 at St Mary's for a cup game vs a lower league team in which everyone was expecting Pochettino to put out the reserves and youth team.

Similar to what Pompey get for League games and you have the cheek to mock it! :D

Portsmouth's last home game in the FA Cup had an attendance of 7,560

You make this too easy!

I see you are only 3 points from the trap door to non league football.

The Pompey Trust are a bunch of amateurs now running the asylum!

Scummer, you can draw as many comparisons as you like with your far more successful neighbours, the bottom line is, you are the self proclaimed Barcelona of the south coast, who at one deluded point were guaranteed to make the champions league next season, YET, you still failed to fill half of your ground for an FA Cup tie, not even 16k Scummers could be bothered to support the Massive Scum.

Not when we were in the PREMIER league it wasn't. In fact our last FA CUP attendance whilst in the premier league (even with no players and no money) still eclipses your pathetic turnout yesterday.

Still, i heard burnley made alot of noise yesterday ,so at least the atmosphere was better than usual. I expect that attendance to double in the next round as Yeovil always take away a large cup following.

Without splitting hairs there were 1845 Burnley fans at the New Dehli yesterday, so not even 13500 of the Scum MASSIVE could be bothered

Time for that 2nd tier to be added to the stadium, methinks.

Utter *******s! You've added 1,000 fans.

SHOCK! HORROR! Who'd have thought someone connected to Portsmouth making up figures!?

So Pompey fans only turn up if they are in the Premier League?

I thought you were the bestest most loyalist fans in the whole world?

Pompey fans now own the club and still can't sellout a 20k stadium! Saints in League One averaged 21k and 22k in their two seasons.

Pompey's attendance on Boxing Day vs Dagenham & Redbridge in 2013 was 15,192

The last time Saints had a Boxing Day fixture in the bottom two tiers was in 2009 for a game vs Exeter City and the attendance was 30,890

DOUBLE what Pompey managed.

Saints average more than Pompey in the lower leagues and the top fligh

I'll repeat for you again retard clubfoot, just so you understand that we always eclipse your pathetic club. We've consistently gated some of the highest figures for league 2's history this season.

Now for the ORIGINAL POINT... we had 19612 in January 2008 against plymouth who were league 1.

SO WHATS YOUR EXCUSE FOR YESTERDAY??????

HMMMM! No didnt think there is one..

Clubfoot, you really

Funniest thing I've read for a while! XD XD XD

When you get relegated to non league football in a few months time will you go down saying you made history in the process? Will you still pat yourselves on the back for having done so? XD XD XD

You make me laugh Mango. Your history shows insolvencies, administrations, ripping off businesses and Lithuanian pensioners amongst others [cough: charities] but still you persist in claiming that you "eclipse" us! XD XD XD

The only similarity you have with an eclipse is that one it's disappeared it's gone forever and now people only talk about the full moon. XD XD XD

Brilliant! XD XD XD

Branny was an easy kill, but Jack too?

Nice work lads.

Anyway, a dream draw in the 4th round, 3 big sides amongst a number of Prem teams already out...they've got to be thinking about winning it haven't they? Or will they be more concerned with preserving their 9th place in the Prem? XD

Think the problem here is the attitude of the Chairman
Apparently the gate receipts at the Burnley game was just over ?250k but at a max ?22 per adult ticket you can perhaps understand why this may have affected the attendance.
Some other teams were only charging a much more reasonable ?10 a head which attracts more fans and improves the take from ancillary revenue sources.
If I was a club chairman I know which way I would go but then again I am a fan not a club executive.
I like Cup Competitions but it is a fact they don't attract the crowds of yesteryear (ie Pre Premier ship)
Anyone remember Pompey v Bolton (9,721 in 1995) and 2,731 v Blackburn in 2000?

The Blackburn game was actually a 2nd round 2nd leg League Cup tie Bubble. We had lost the first leg 4.0 the Tuesday before at Ewood Park. 2731 did indeed show up, it was the evening of 26th Sep 2000.

I have cut and pasted the comments from Pompey Rama on that forgettable evening.

With the game over as a contest, a record low crowd turned up for a major competitive first team fixture at Fratton. The faithful were even denied a deserved morale-boosting win as Hoult let Dunn's shot squirm through his hands late on (88th min). Luke Nightingale had got the fans singing with a fine finish (77th min).

Lovedean,
I realise the Blackburn game was League Cup but even that competition used to attract reasonable crowds pre the introduction of the Prem and SKY TV etc.
On a completely unrelated matter I once enjoyed the company of a fine looking lady from Lovedean back in my younger days. Pleasant memories.
