Hi All Bolton Fans

For the last week or so Ive been trying to get my head around the running costs of bolton wanderers day to day operations.

This debt tag which the club are taking works out at assets and wage structures that are being taken out at the top level, not player or running costs.

Plus the smaller running costs can be cut by a massive 60% but bolton Wanderers Chairman obviously is overlooking his smaller costs to look after number one himself !

These are some of the idea's Bolton could use in debt management !

because phil Gartside obviously does not know what the word means !

1. boltons young academy has not brought one or two players through the academy facilities in the last 2 years, on a 5 year plan this would not be acceptable as the running costs would be a minimum of ?500k per year and the cost of buying and building it, so sell the facility or land to a developer and out source the facility to schools and coligues, and universitys if the plan is to find local

i am voting for you mate !

163.8 million
151 owed directly or in directly to davies

the real problem being , this debt to davies ( Obviously ! )

He charges the club ( interest ) on the loans , the loans incidentally are signed off by him & again obviously he isn’t gonna recommend a cheaper option !

ok klassnic thats a fair enough post but many of your cost cutting recomendations are just the tip of the iceberg with the amount we owe eddie & the only way to put a dent in our debt is by gartside being removed from bwfc asap & appoint a chairman who is prepared to bring in a manager that as all the right credentials to at least give us a fighting chance of getting back to the prem but even then we should follow burnleys way of running a club by not living beyond our means & largley sticking with the players who got us there in the first place, being a yoyo club & chipping away at eddies hold over us is the only way out of this mess no matter how long it takes & dougie lennie & co obviously arnt the ones who will get us anywhere near to taking a few more slices of that ever increasing premier league pie ever imo.

You are spot on there dunc, gartside needs to go first he has proved how clueless he is in trying to get us out of thi

Since this hit the fan last week, I have heard lots of theories regarding the issue.

People have talked about a PROPRIETY debt that is owed to Eddie Davies' company.

Personally I could not give a monkeys about the debt, it has nowt to do with us, we pay our entrance fees and season ticket money, that's our responsibility over with.

A couple of things stand out though. 1. Its does not sound altogether legal. 2. The accountants will be having a field day.

And more importantly, this debt is going to have to be serviced at some stage, it isn't going to go away.

Has anyone got any wise ideas how the idiots who are running the asylum are going to sort this ball of brown stuff out.
