Still in Qatar but into the winter. TBH this could help us as the players could have a good rest in the summer for a change! - view external link (http://www.teamtalk.com/news/2483/9106431/Qatar-World-Cup-set-to-be-moved)

That's assuming we qualify!

It also clashes with the busiest part of the season, meaning more matches will be rescheduled to silly days / times to account for this which isn't good for the majority of fans.

Why can't they just hold the tornemount in a footballing nation with the climate and infrastructure already in place.

Because it would mean no backhanders to the powers that be Adi!

And while we are on the subject, how come England have not been chosen as hosts since 1966 when others for whom football is not a first sport have?
It's incredible that a country with so many venues already capable of hosting huge matches has been ignored. It's even better as far as travelling is concerned too as we are such a small country area wise.

It's self explanetory.
It's because there's a F.I.F.A this and a F.I.F.A that, nudge, nudge, wink, wink. ;D

So no more eh?

Not so fast, SSN are now reporting FIFA know nothing about the announcment made by the vice president, they've said as far as their concerned ts still to be played in summer and any change to the winter has to be ratified and is not as simple as it seems

The reason they are having world cups in places that are not famous for football is to advertise the game and develop it in other countries that it's not already big in.

That's what you do when trying to promote something. The American League has really grown since the World Cup there in 94 was it?

The reason the world duo is in Qatar, platinisation was offered a bucket load of dosh via sponsorship of PSG.

And come on lads, we're pretty good at ice hockey.

yh i cant hammer the panthers really, my friend is the physio/kitman and ive met the players at a fair few parties and even been to a game. Fine upstanding gentlemen and above average ice hockey players by all accounts.

It's to promote the game and facilitate infrastructure I believe.

Bit like field of dreams if you build it they will come kinda thing.

They throw in the odd taken gesture to friends like Germany.

Problem is whilst these countries get to experience the tournament of a lifetime they won't fully appreciate countries like ours which would love it to the max and have looked after creating their own infrastructure miss out!
