Well we learned 1 thing for sure tonight - Man City is a better team than Nottingham Forest. But they are only 1 goal better ;D B)

I was pleased when Billy picked a decent team for the West Ham game rather than repeating the League Cup fiasco. Surely players enjoy playing in cup games, and the prospect of the next round draw never loses its excitement. The victory was good for confidence and kept the momentum going.

Resting players? The 1979-80 team were playing twice a week on gluepot pitches (42 league games, league cup, FA cup and European cup), with players playing 60+ games a season. Oh no sorry, i was forgetting that nowadays, the super-fit poor little lambs are unable to run around and pass a ball around twice a week for 90 minutes

11 players and 1 sub only as well. Not half a team on the bench.
Squads had around 14 players for first team recognition. The rest made up of kids and ****e in the reserves.
