One of my old favourites with his "step over leg lock". For the memories Albie RIP.

I loved old Albie, great little player. Only one weakness - he was easily nutmegged.

Really sad for me this. He played a total of 380 games for Pompey scoring 97 goals. Hope at the next home game he is suitably remembered. RIP Albie :star:

Nutmegs no doubt due to his bow legs, one of my favourite players of the time, R.I.P. Albie.

Sad news indeed,I saw him score a hat trick I think at Bristol City c 1967 in a 3-3 draw (although memory may be getting a bit iffy ?). Always good value as a player.

I never saw him play but I met him at his induction at the hall of fame and he was genuinely pleased to be Portsmouth. It was a great night and he loved being surrounded by the Portsmouth supporters. I was glad to shake his hand and witness his warm smile.
