what a load of old cobblers..

this can't be taken serious with stats such as:

1. I Vigurs (M'well) - 13 CS; 1 HCA; 3 CMA = 13.5 pts
5. A Stokes (Celtic) - 6 CS; 1 HCA; 2 SS; 2 CMA = 9.25 pts
T7. N McGinn (Aberdeen) - 5 CS; 1 HCA; 2 SS; 2 CMA = 8.5 pts
T14. G Mackay-Steven (D Utd) - 4 CS; 2 HCA; 2 SS = 6.5 pts

stokes, Mcginn and GMS are streets ahead of our Vigurs. there is no chance he is 50% better when rated on chance creation.

I don't like to do our players down unnecessarily but what a load of junk...indeed, anyone uncharitable will point out Vigurs has clearly got into position to cross/assist lots but isn't actually good enough when there, hence the high number of 'tricky' as opposed 'can't miss' chances made.

This is the kind of debate which is interesting, but unlikely to change anyone's mind! On a related matter, I spent some of last night watching a DVD of our goals from last season. While it doesn't show opportunities missed, the number of times Chris Humphrey was involved, either as the scorer, or as the man who passed / crossed to the 'Well scorer was more than I recalled, and probably, more than he got credit for. (Many were unconvinced, but I liked to see him in the team).

Another difficult assist for Vigurs today by the sound of it!
