Kevin Doyle today became the latest big-name Wolves player to be linked with a move back to the Championship.

Interesting to read Wolves refuse to contribute to players loaned out to clubs in a higher division. - view external link (http://tinyurl.com/nvhoaml)

From Sky Sports:-

Kevin Doyle is now odds-on (5/6) to join Middlesbrough amid reports of a loan bid. Boro do not have much competition for his signature, with Celtic their biggest contenders at 8/1, while Leeds are big outsiders at 12/1.

If he wants to go to The Smoggies he might as well go can't really see him figuring for us with any regularity now plus will we really miss him now? probably not IMO!

I've just been reading some of his stuff, a proper wind up merchant, even has Benteke to the owls and Kaka to his boyhood club Villa XD - view external link (http://twitter.com/AgentVince_)

As much as I like Doyle's attitude I hope this has some legs and gets done cos ATM he's just a drain on our resources.

No matter what I will always wish him well cos I personally think the way he conducts himself is simply top class.

Quite agree, Darren. The way things are shaping it does seem that KD would be surplus to our needs (and expensively so). However, during our recent winter(s) of discontent, when 'men' of lesser character were scheming and betraying the traditions and honour of our club, Kevin Doyle rose above all the cr-p that was going on and never lost sight of his duty to club and supporters. If it's time for him to go (and I think perhaps it is) then, surely, he has earned the right to go with our blessing. Regardless of what transpires, I most certainly wish him well in the future.

Have to agree with the above two comments , a true proffesional .
When others spat there dummies out and caused problems , he just got on with it .
Good luck Doyler ,if you are on your way.

Agree to some extent but I'd keep stum for 40k a week.

Doyle is still a quality player and a club of Wolverhampton Wanderers standing shouldn't be looking to sell unless we have better coming in.
This has already cost us points and is a dangerous game to play, especially when promotion is a must.

He's had his day and just doesn't score enough which is what we 're desperate for at the Mo tbh he's never been what you'd call prolific has he? into his 4th season with us and scored 30 league goals!!

Doyle has had his day but is always reliable to try his best for us and he is a footballer. I fail to see anything in Leon Clarke, big big mistake, it wont end well.

I understand where you're coming from but Doyle is on 40k a week and not scoring goals and can't even get in the team most of the time Clarke would be on less than a quarter of that a week and has been banging them in at this level sometimes things just have to be tried!!

He played a big part in our win at Oldham. Replaced Lee Evans. I notice now Wolves have allegedly turned down a loan move for him from Ipswich Town. - view external link (http://tinyurl.com/qcc7z6r)

A loan deal to QPR on the cards for Doyle. If his second half appearance at Oldham is his last for now, it's one to remember. - view external link (http://tinyurl.com/oky46ky)
