won't be selling if we get relegated it would seem..

West Ham United co-owner David Gold has made it clear there is no danger of the club being sold following David Sullivan's comment that the duo “could not be able to continue subsidising the club” should they be relegated.

Sullivan's comment was delivered immediately after an interview following the 6-0 defeat at Manchester City .

It was received by some as meaning that the pair would pull out of Upton Park but Gold has made it crystal clear that would not be the case.

Insisting that he believes the club will escape the drop anyway he was keen to put the story into perspective.

Sullivan made the remark after claiming that he was unsure that sacking boss Sam Allardyce was the right way forward for the club as the fans had abused the manager at the Etihad.

And the weekend victory at Cardiff plus striker Andy Carroll's return has brought a new wave of confidence ahead of the clash against Newcastle United at Upton park on Saturday

They have not pumped in any of thier own money. They have lent the club money via secured loans.

No matter what happens they not only still get thier money back but they do so with plenty of interest.

of course, but still their own money, which they will no longer top up regardless of return. And they probably know theyll get an even bigger return, when they sell.

The point i was making was it was their own money regardless of whether they loaned it or not. Who cares, they, like all of us, would expect to get a return.

I don't think anyone would have a problem with that if it wasn't for the continual "We've done this, we've done that, our own money, blah di blah" they come out with at regular intervals.

Compare interest rates, G+S v Barclays a couple of years ago.

It really makes your comments look a bit silly mate, no disrespect.

They make pennies form those loans in relation to what they could have made in a recession period.

Yes, that was my point. No one cares if they make money or not. Just cut out all the bravado.
