Had to express my amusement at someone's presumed description of proud Pompey. Somewhat inaccurate of course. Forget the fiddler bit - that's been done to death, but if you must, how about "21st Century FA Cup winners and FA Cup finalist Skrillbound Fish Fiddlers"? Then again, we're not Skrillbound as things are turning round, thanks to Mr Barker. In any case, the Skrill is the Premiership of non-league football so everything is relative.

The financial FairPlay rules "should" help other clubs from plunging into the same abyss as your club is in.

As much as you clearly WANT us to follow you down that path, you are not taking into consideration that Saints own a decent stadium, state of the art training facilities and have a decent fan base, that can only get bigger and broader, the longer we stay in the Premier League, and you in the lower leagues.

Southampton Football Club, with all the above, will always be a more attractive proposition, for a takeover bid, than your club, and it is THAT realisation that really sticks in your throat.
