One very poor decision, not giving Saints a free kick for the foul on Gaston, leads to a Sunderland counter and an injury to Lovren!

You couldn't make it up.

First time I've seen two players from any team stretchered off at the same time.

Still, they won't be getting sold in this window.

Yep, more bad luck. Disappointing to lose a two goal lead like that. :/

Really hacked off, I hadn't even realised our game was an early kick off but what I heard of the first half we were completely dominant. Got home and put the radio on just in time to hear the equaliser, followed by serious injuries to Gaston and Lovren. :/

Terrible end to a bad week. :blue:

Poor refereeing decisions have been a constant this season so there should be no surprise with Foy's failing today. To be fair, I thought his overal performance was good, but again a big decision went against us and if Lovren's injury is lengthy, it could be one of the costliest decisions against us all season :blue:

It wasn't a foul on Ramirez, the defender clearly got the ball first. Great tackle, great decision.

any tackle from behind regardless of whether the ball is got first is deemed to be a foul. Especially when the defender goes in with studs showing.
And good old Pod showing his usual class bemoaning the stoppage in play upsetting the flow of play.
And one Cnut fan displaying the same skate like quality we expect from our fishy neighbours by tweeting this.

Lot of their followers claiming Gaston dived and Lovren lunged and deserved to have been seriously injured. Thankfully he's posted it's not to bad.

Foy did overall had a good game.

Do we really need skates talking out their ar$eholes on serious Saints threads?

A different view of that tackle by Brown.

And after that soft penalty Fonte conceded against Arsenal how is this not a foul?

Wasn't there another incident with O'Shea and Fonte, where O'Shea pulled him to the ground as he ran round him?
Very sly and very well executed, as O'Shea's left arm went below Fonte's, grabbed the front of his shoulder, then rolled him round, and down.

10/10 for execution.

Indeed say no more, the fact you can't see the ball in that show shows that Brown has already won it.

Loving your referee threads, what a bunch of naive football fans you all are.

Write a letter to the league about Foy instructing the Premier league not to appoint him for any more games featuring your good selves ? Show them who's boss, just like you did in the Clattenburg being mean to Adam debacle.

At this rate there will be no one left to ref them.

I referee over here in my spare time. If they complain about enough refs being mean to there little pumpkins on the pitch, maybe I could get assigned a game featuring the s*um ?
As Adamywadamy preciousy poppet lands in row Z you would hear me shouting ' play on, It's a mans game '
F*ck me there would be some whining sc*mmers on here the next day.
Will never happen but a nice thought for a Monday anyway.
Over to you Harry and Lloyd.

If his most recent tweet relates to his injury, then I suspect it won't be that soon.. :blue:

You're right Chis it wasn't a foul it was a good tackle. But the follow through looked nasty & very unfortunate, but I agree it wasn't a foul.

I don't agree.
Tackle from behind = foul play.
The ref got it wrong, again.
We lose two key players, again.

Had it been one of yours making the tackle Kernow I doubt you'd feel the same. He got the ball first, what happened after was unfortunate. But not a foul for me.

Perhaps we should organise a protest?
