Its been a long time coming but well done lichties. All the men in maroon deserve credit for sticking at it and getting their reward but it was good for the future of the club to see 2 promising young players get the goals. Well done Chris Scott and Dayle Robertson. C'mon lichties

A well deserved 3 points, all the players gave 100% and it was great to watch the team celebrate the 2nd goal !

Last week Brechin somehow managed to steal points from a game they never deserved to win, so full credit to the team for winning today.

Thought Linn and Sheerin played really well today - some great passing by Sheerin.

Great win and gives the team lots of confidence.

Ibrox - here we come !

First half we were "in their faces" and getting in behind them at will, Linn especially, but in stennys first foray up the park they scored when we looked wide open at the back. We rallied quickly and Linn carved them open and laid on a great cross which Scott ran onto to blast home.
Sheerin smacked one off the crossbar as we looked to add a second,
Second half seemed more even steven, but a sublime finish from Dayle Robertson sealed a valuable three points.
Horrendous conditions to play football in but full credit to the team who rolled their sleeves up and fought to the bitter end.

At long last a fully deserved 3 points. Agree with all of the above and it was great to see that heads didn't go down after giving away the first goal of the game.
Well done to all and great to see the youngsters get the goals.
Another outstanding display from Bobby Linn.

I have been critical of Linn this season but I totally agree with the above posts. He was outstanding today. Pity he couldnt have got a goal to cap his excellent display. That would have been well deserved. Still there's always Ibrox next Sat to get off the mark.

Bobby Linn imo has been our of our best performers this season, main concern is his goalscoring which in the end wins you matches unfortunately, however showed today what a provider he can be if we can get a goalscorer or goalscorers in we can creep up table just goes to show what a bit of graft can do, believe we have been grafting the last few games just not getting the breaks, certainly got them the today. Thought after a shaky moment when we lost the goal we shuld have been at least a goal up as we started very well but lost our way a bit when they scored more scary moments in defence. Thought Trav and Keddie were good today by the way. Hammy dodgy first half but much improved second Banjo and Morrison steady, Morrison no nervy moments this week. Think having a strong tall midfielder in Nicholl has certainly helped not losing so much physically. Going to some ask to at least get to the play offs as other teams also winning but if we can keep this spirit up anything is possible. Nex

Bobby Linn was outstanding today. Man of the match by an absolute mile!

I think that is the most positive we have been in a long time, especially the first 20-25 minutes where we just didn't let them get a touch, although they still annoyingly managed to score with their first foray into our box. Having Cook and Linn play as winger/strikers with Scott giving support worked really well and we seemed to create more chances.

I thought Sheerin played really well and his little passes make things happen and he was really unlucky with his shot which hit the bar.

It was great to see Ricky Little make his come back and I thought in the last 10 minutes Banjo got into some great spaces running forward from midfield. I'd like to see him given a few games in that position as with his pace and energy he would do some damage. Scott was really unlucky that he didn't grab a second just before Dayle scored but Dayle took his goal really well and hopefully that is the first of many for t

Vast improvement and just goes to show how important it is to have midfielders who'll break forward. We should stick with that kind of formation for the rest of the season.

Linn and Cook didn't give the Stenny back line any peace and the former was dangerous running at them.

Scott was in and out the game but definitely suited that position just off the front line as he was timing his runs really well.

Robertson has done well since coming into the squad but I think this is the first time he's been given some proper support from his team-mates and it allowed him to actually get the ball in the danger area.

Thought Keddie had another good game today too.

It wasn't pretty to watch on a cauld dreich day, STAR MAN B LINN stood out from the pack. The only way is up now and a great well earned 3 points, Can someone tell Scotty in goals that if the wind is blowing across the pitch TO KICK INTO IT. Lost count the amount of times he kicked it in to the stand. Not being Neagtive just making a point.

Just another footnote. Banjo,s best position is MIDFIELD & NOT right back.

As it turned out, an inspired decision to play without a recognised striker. Stenny would have been comfortable against a big no 9.

Both the youngsters took their goals well. Linn was immense throughout and tormented their whole defence. His assists were invaluable.

What was particularly pleasing was the way the coaching staff changed things. To have the options to introduce a good striker, a fresh midfielder and a decent full back, changes the whole balance of the game. Dayle took his goal like a veteran. Smith looked bright despite wanting away, and Little allowed Banjo to come into midfield which he clearly relishes.

The wind was going diagonally across the pitch. If Scott kicked into it, the ball would be landing about 35 yards from goal as it would inevitably get held up by the wind. Giving a throw in away on the half way line is a safer option than that.

I don't get to that many games but one of the best teams that I've seen cope with the wind conditions at gayfield was Dunfermline in the recent match surely we should be the team using it to our advantage, Dunfermline had one bad kick that almost bounced straight back, after that every time the keeper got the ball the two fullbacks pushed up the centre backs went wide left and right and as we only had one up front whatever side Dayle leane
