Trawling the net, I came across this interview. A great lesson in communication. Like him or not - and I did like him, you cannot help but admire him!

The link doesn't seem to work for some reason, but should if you cut and paste it into your browser.

Can you help on this, Gav? - view external link (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oqAZsoF-ghw)

Thanks for your help, Gav. I think the interview is well worth the watch as the subject of TV pundits still gets discussed regularly.

I could listen to him all day, says it as it is.

Love the way he describes Trevor Francis, won a medal by fluke in winning the European cup XD.

Imagine if he was around today commenting on too much football on the television. He's right what he says even in those days and what can be compared with today of

You are quite right, Gav in that he says it as it is. I admire how he keeps a totally even temper and says what has to be said without any inhibition or derision to the other party.

I wonder how much good he could have done within the FA if they had done the right thing and appointed him England manager.

As you say, I could listen to him all day long! :)

He was too outspoken for the FA,they were scared to take a chance on him that's for sure. I was always always hoping he would be given a chance.

A Footballing Legend as both a player and Manager.
251 goals in 274 games for Sunderland and 'Boro !!
Won a first division Championship for Derby County, then went even further with Nottingham Forest 2 European cups (when it was a proper champions only competition!B))1 league title and 4 League Cups an achievement with a smaller Provincial Club that will never happen again!! Was also 'The finest Manager England never had', as you can tell I was a fan also!!
If you haven't already pick up a copy of his Auto biography- 'Walking on Water-My Life', an absolutely brilliant read.

'With Clough by Taylor' and 'Clough the Autobiography' were also good reads, Eve. I haven't read the Walking on Water one - will have to try and find a copy.
