Our pitch must be one of the best in the country.
Bramall Lane on the tv at the mo is a mess. Granted, it's had a lot more rain on it overnight than ours had to contain with yesterday, but Hillsboro couldn' cope the other week, Charlton's is a joke and judging by the FA cup highlights last night, the state of many pitches around the country are struggling to cope with the weather.
Our new pitch was still in a good condition at the end of last season - and didn't suffer from any 'new pitch syndrome' excuse like Wembley had - so it's not just that we haven't had as much bad weather over the last few weeks than other parts of the country.
We can bring in all these so called quality players who can pass the ball around, but that's not much good if they haven't got a decent pitch to play on.
So well done to the ground staff. They should get more praise than they do.
