Yes this has been posted before but have your drinking habits changed?

I know Villamiller's have got worse...:P

This dieting thing got me thinking as to what I may benefit from by not quaffing as much beer and trying something new...eh presto I think I've found a new line...Dry Martini and soda water...please stop laughing...

Tall glass with a 'sensible' measure of Martini ( shhh Mrs Villa) ice and soda water...quite pleasant with a desired effect without the over burden of fatty sugars and an ever increasing waistline...

Have you swapped drinks or do you still partake in the same?...TFA don't bothering answering this question you party animal you :P

I've not gone soft and can still drink a pint like all of you but moderation is now the order of the day and it's Diet Pepsi on match days...

I dare say Villamiller will gladly tell you about...

Still got a full rack of red/white and not touched a drop for weeks...although I have been told that white wine is less fattening than dry Martini...or was this a p.iss take by Mrs Villa?

Is it too much to drink seven days a week if drank in moderation ..ie a glass of wine at night with your evening meal?

I suspect it's fine but I've decided to follow the advice of the liver specialists who recommend at least two alcohol free days each week to give the liver recovery time.

In short yes. You should aim for at least a couple of days off any alcohol at all each week - just to give your liver a rest.

Measures poured at home also tend to be larger than when you're out so a glass or two can send you over the recommended limit. For example a 250ml glass of 13% proof wine contains 3.25 units of alcohol, that's 182 calories just from the alcohol before you add in the rest of the contents.

Way I look at it is that I have been very lucky.
I have been an over indulgent nob head.

Never claimed anything.
Paid my way.
45 years coming up constant work.
Look after my family
so if I want a drink I will.

It could be argued crash that putting yourself at risk of dying prematurely is not looking after your family but is an act of selfishness.

Stress is a minor contributor to death...buses and lightening even less so.

Excess alcohol and smoking are major contributors.

I have seen the consequences and can honestly say that not one single victim of a serious preventable illness has said it was worth it

I don't mind sharing a life experience ...

A few years ago I joined an on line wine club..(still with them but order sparingly)...and soon found myself drinking bottle of wine a night convincing myself I was winding down after stressful day at work...

Over a period of time I started to experience stomach pains/cramps and I thought I was just stressing out from what was at the time a very demanding job etc...anyway the pain persisted so off t
