Charlton book their place in the 5th round of the FA Cup where they face Sheffield Wednesday away after this gritty performance against Huddersfield courtesy of a Simon Church goal on 54 minutes with an assist from Lawrie Wilson.

The ever popular Yann Kermorgant was ruled out of play and we can only all hope that he will remain at Charlton and not sold elsewhere against the wishes of most fans.

There was some fisticuffs in the first half and Dale Stephens gives a good impression of the upright splits in this photo when given a bite by a terrier or is it a rottweiler but apart from that Ben Alnwick now an ever present in goal made some smart saves.

Ward for Huddersfield missed an open goal chance to equalise on 62 minutes but despite dominating the closing stages the Addicks held on for a confidence building win.

Now time to take the Cup form back to the League in the next away game against Doncaster on Tuesday. - [url=http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/huddersfield-0-charlto
