Would they give us that many tickets?

Yes apparently, Coventry took 7000 recently and the ground is now fully commissioned with 32000 seats, Dons average 8000 so there is plenty of room, Their chairman is a Wolves fan as we know. Its a big ask 10k but if a band wagon starts like Preston, Port vale and Orient at home, who knows. I will be taking my son and nephew who have only been to vale away this season , although they are home season ticket holders. If everyone can do the same?

I think it can gather its own momentum.

I don't know if it helps, but Bletchley station is closer to the MKD stadium than MK Central ...

By Train
Bletchley station is approximately a 30 minute walk from the stadium. The stadium is sign posted from the station.

Milton Keynes Central is a 45-60 minute walk.

The MK Dons Matchday Express shuttle bus runs from Bletchley and Milton Keynes Central, details can be found below. - view external link (http://www.mkdons.com/club/visit-us)

I think we must have taken some where around that many to the old Filbert Street ground in Leicester for the cup game in 1960. They gave us the terracing that ran the whole of one side of the ground and we filled it.

Eve, we didn't take more than 2500-3000 to Newcastle that day , 1000+ by plane of course. However to answer MitchiganWolf, two games spring to mind:-

We absolutely rammed the bowl of an end that was the away end at Burnden park. I went on one of the six special trains that day. The away followings in the late '60s and through the '70s were amazing. It's impossible to put numbers on it as we just used to get up and go - no tickets. But I would say the 8-10,000 barrier must have been achieved many times. Also FA Cup games were huge at that time and everybody wanted to go to the away ones.

Free Shirt Personalisation For 10K2MK

You're right they don't miss a trick but does the production of this shirt mean if we can shift 10,000 tickets MK will actually make that figure available ? I had my doubts earlier as I'd heard it couldn't happen for health and safety reasons etc?

Even now Eve, the way others are saying, it won't be anything like 10k, more near 8500, but Wolves wouldn't jump the gun and advertise the free personalisation on shirts. Again, there's supposed to be some sort of announcement coming out of the club tomorrow.

Official update, 5941 sold, Wolves are waiting for the remaining 600 tickets out of the original batch of 6500 to be physically delivered ! (but you can still order on-line) A further allocation from MK will be announced on monday, but no=one knows (or will admit) what the figure will be !

The first aim of the campaign, which was to eclipse Coventry's following(6700) will happen, but we wait and see what the end result will be.
Enevitably it will be a bit of a let-down if the magical 10k isnt reached, although the main aim of re-generising Wolves support has definately succeeded !
I actually feel that its in Wolves interest to try and get us the 10k seats to maximise the publicity and commercial spin-offs.

Dorset

Apparently Fenny Stratford is a village about a mile from the ground with several real ale pubs, nothing by the ground itself , although they have bars built into the ground, but they may be closed when we visit, if the top tier is opened.

6,670 tickets now sold. Allocation increased to 8,381, with another 500 possible after that.

Not sure what to think if they don't let us have 10,000. Kind of spoils the whole thing a little for me. I know lots of people waiting for general release and it seems poor of both MK and Wolves to not be able to buy in to the little mission we've got going.

I just think if they don't give us the ten it will put some people off that otherwise would have made the effort.

Will be a great day out anyway but surely those clubs can't refuse the fans the 10k we are after? Or can they? If they do they will lose some of my business for sure.

I note the carefully worded text on the shirt selling site that calls it the 'fans' campaign. Accurate I know but they should still make sure to arrange for us to get 10k tickets or there will be a bit of a letdown feel. Unless we all mob the home end!!!

Apparently nearly 600 have been sold in a home section today ! loads are doing it so we will probably have 10k there, just not officially !

Supporters wanting to purchase tickets for the clash at stadiummk MUST be registered with the MK Dons Box Office database unless they have a MK, NN, LU, SG, OX, AL, CB, PE or HP postcode.

New registrants MUST provide forms of identification, driving licence, passport or utility bill with proof of home address. These should be produced at the time of collection.

Supporters can now only purchase a maximum of four adult tickets per person.

No further tickets will be available for Wolves supporters, who have already been granted, and snapped up, an extra 4,500 seats.

Away fans are also reminded that the Club has strict vetting procedures and any successful attempt to buy tickets in the home areas will result in those supporters being removed from the stadium without refund.

Interesting last paragraph. - view external link (http://tinyurl.com/qz6a9ad)

I remember them saying that for the Sheff Wednesday game...didn't actually happen. can you imagine them vetting all the home fans as they enter the ground and then attempt to throw out the 1,000+ Wolves fans who will be in the wrong end!

I should have known better and not got carried away. They are refunding my ticket request for me and my young lad. I was really looking forward to sitting among a mixed group of fans on a day that is going to be a trouble free celebration of football and a great bit of business for MK Dons. They will lose a good 1000 off the gate by doing this and there wouldn't be any trouble in that east stand. Shame but sign of the times I guess.

I need two tickets!!!!!!
