Apparently he has been signed on loan from Dundee.
A striker, he was loaned out to Montrose last season but does not appear to have made an impact at Dens this season. According to their site he was highly rated as a youngster.
Bit of an unknown quantity but we are certainly not overloaded with strikers

Haha i called this in the other thread a month ago.

He has been playing well for the Dundee reserves, so id hope he can add abit of presence up front and get a few goals.

PS confirmed last night on twitter that Leighton has signed on loan until the end of the season.

It also seems like Graham Bayne has been released. He was 6 inches away from scoring a famous equaliser on Saturday but it got blocked on the line, but although not prolific he always gave his best and so wish him well in the future.

I'm sure he would easily get a club in league two.

McIntosh, McManus, Wood and Nicoll in. Will there be any more before the window closes?

Hopefully an big strong centre back. We are still short in that area imo.

I agree with Maroonie regarding a strong centre-back.
Can someone confirm if Sibanda and D.Smith have now left the club?

Also agree with maroonie and housecaptain. Centre-back a must, surely!

Can't confirm housecaptain unfortunately about Sibanda and Smith, but the evidence pretty much suggests they are gone???

As for the acquisition of Leighton McIntosh, possibly being paired with Paul McManus? They'll not have to go far to improve on the misery that was the twin towers of impotency, a.k.a. Milne/Bayne!

It was good to meet Leighton's Dad on the terracing yesterday. I bet he enjoyed the debut goal. Not the last in maroon, I fancy.

Has been freed by Dundee.

His injury sort of forced him in and out of our team, but he always looked dangerous, especially in the last game at Station Park.

I think probably out of our budget, but it seems Dundee are going to be having a fire sale with Christian Nade and John Gibson also leaving Dens. - view external link (http://www.dundeefc.co.uk/news/leighton-leaves-club)
