We started well and put Ayr under pressure, playing towards the switch end, and a shot from Chisolm just dipped over the bar. Then 5 minutes into the game a cross cum shot from the Ayr left into Morrison's top left hand corner put Ayr one up. That looked familiar.
Minutes later McIntosh was played into the box and going towards goal was blatantly tripped, obvious to everyone in the ground, except the referee. It was an obvious penalty and red card for the Ayr defender, being the last man, but no decision given.
Plenty of defenders around for Ayr's second goal but none would make a tackle, resulting in the Ayr player shooting past Morrison, who was completely at fault for Ayr's third goal, miskicking a pass back with no pressure on him, right to an Ayr player who stuck the ball away for the third. There were some near things at both ends but it looked liked we were never going to score.
