A record attendance of 649 saw Celtic Nation leapfrog opponents Shildon to go top of the Northern League.

The weather failed to put a dampener on the occasion as the Gillford Park crowd took in seven goals, three penalties and two red cards in stormy conditions.

It was a 'pay what you want' charity (local schools iirc) day. Essentially it was a quid (the minimum) to get in.

Well the previous home game also had a record attendance, so their fan base is certainly growing.

Celtic Nation launched their campaign for 2014 success in emphatic style by condemning Crook Town to a 4-0 defeat in front of a record crowd.
The three points sent Willie McStay's side back to the top of the Northern League following a one-week absence.
548 were present at Gillford Park to see recent signing Martyn Coleman smash in his first hat-trick for the club before Willie Gibson completed the rout with the last kick of the game.
