Why Gaz? If the numbers published are correct or close to it; the trading position of the club and the parent company have improved markedly, and from a close to basket case position. Receivership with all its attendant pitfalls - for examples loss of ten points, and certain relegation to Div 3 - has been avoided. The football department; although not exactly stunning, has apparently improved. Now unless I am mistaken Mr Pannu was in charge and the person ultimately responsible for all this. Assuming what we are told is correct then he has really done a remarkably good job in very difficult circumstances. He would therefore in my opinion appear to be worth every penny.

IN Asia and Australia, senior executives are paid high salaries but are generally held very accountable. There is also a great deal more openness about it than in other parts of the world. In the UK much of this is conducted in secret and as far as can be known it appears bonuses that over here would be consider

I can only go by what I have witnessed at our club. A club that was a mid table Premier club to a club that is scrapping to avoid relegation to the lower leagues. A club that survives on loans and freebies because everyone has been sold off. Jack Butland said himself that Carson Yeung and his business partners had destoyed the club and the likes of Pannu is never there and certainly not open with the supporters about what is going on. If you tell me they are good for this club I say come down and see what is left and you may change your mind. We have gone back twenty odd years and these people are responsible.
