Gaffer delighted with performance

Uwe Rosler said that despite defeat at the John Smith’s Stadium on Saturday afternoon, he was pleased with the performance of his team in difficult playing conditions.

Swirling winds and driving rain tested both sets of players throughout the 90 minutes, and indeed Huddersfield Town’s winner came from a long-range wind-assisted effort, but Rosler explained it was one of his side’s better displays since his arrival at the club:

He said: “The result of course is very disappointing, but from a football point-of-view it is one of the best performances since I’ve been at the club.

“We played some very good football in difficult conditions and limited Huddersfield to few opportunities, particularly in the second half.

“Our shape was good and I was delighted with the way in which we attacked the opposition but when you don’t score from those moments the other side always have a chance.

“Their goal came from a clearance we couldn’t make, and was helped

'Our shape was good' - thot we were far too narrow!!

'Difficult conditions' - same for both teams !!

'Waghorn debut' - good crosses & contribution but would have liked to have seen him play alongside Fortune.

Just hope Uwe is right about the Sheffield game & we score a bundle of goals to get back on track ;D
