Massive congratulations to GB's Jenny Jones on her very well deserved Bronze medal in the Women's Slopestyle.

Very exciting watching the 2nd run, especially as our girl was out early and had to sit and watch the bulk of the field have their turn.

Some superb camera work and an event made all the more enjoyable by knowledgeable, funny and very passionate commentary.

Oh, and some of those snowboarders are simply gorgeous..

Not been watching it myself but plenty of comments on Twitter. Best one seems to be 'she got looks that would make bread rise'. And apparently this is the first ever Olympic medal for the GB on snow.
Well done Jenny Jones...

The only sport I watch at it has just started - I love a bit of Curling and our female skip looks like a right dirty Sweaty!! ;D

This is very juvenile humour, but try not to laugh especially when he does his jumps.

Was watching the skating with the Mrs so missed that one, K.

Done by Finland, eh ? Oh dear, that was the medal the Russians really wanted to win.

Putin will not be a happy chappie tonight..

Cracking play by the British men to get to the final of the curling - not wishing to single anyone out, but in his last two games, David Murdoch's final shots have been stunning... B)

Feel for the girls who bowed out in the semi finals, though - really thought they were going to contest the gold medal..

Will probably take out his frustration on gay Ukrainians. Once KGB always KGB. Not a nice man.

Was sad to see the Russian girls curling team knocked out though ! :blue:

I watch a lot of NHL Hockey but found the few games I watched a little mundane and lacking in atmosphere compared to the NHL.The deadpan British commentater didn't help as he sounds like he'd be better suited to cycling or equestrian.

Having said that the 2 semi finals should be worth watching and I'm picking Canada to play Sweden for the Gold.

Two great semi-final match-ups:

Sweden v Finland

USA v Canada

Watching the first one now. Half of Scandinavia will be at a standstill while this is on.

Gone are the days when Gt Britain ruled the world at ice hockey but at least we are still good at curling. - view external link (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ice_hockey_at_the_1936_Winter_Olympics)

Canada v Sweden it is.

Very sad day for the Yanks as the ramifications of this defeat are absolutely tragic.

4 years of dedication and hard training to get to the games and its all blown apart on the whim of a referee to disqualify her.

I feel for Ms Christie.
