Ok Sevvy, maybe they didn't all captain the Dale but some of them did. You're also saying NONE of them were decent Championship players?

Apart from a couple of them they all played in the twilight of their careers.

My point is/was that if as a ****ager he is thought to be Captaincy materiel,he has a good a chance of many to make ,even if its only at Championship level.
How many other ****agers are Captain of their clubs Senior team ????

I have a mate who is a Rochdale fan and he rates him highly, he says he should be ready for the Championship next season. The same guy rated Jake Kean as crap so maybe he will be right twice.;D

It's a good point and a good thread needs.

I'm just adding "balance" by reminding everyone how so very few youngsters make the grade.

Alan Judge looks a class above in Div1 but he isn't good enough for Championship. It all depends on the individual, and if they can fit into the style of play. Grant Handley has come through our ranks without any loans. He has looked awful at times, but has developed, and looks to be turning into a good player.
