Very early team news.
"Emmanuel Adebayor is likely to miss Tottenhamas Europa League trip to Dnipro according to the Evening Standard.
The striker has been carrying a dead leg in the past two Premier League matches but he hasnat stopped the Togo forward from getting three goals from the two games to help Spurs keep up the pressure on Liverpool for the fourth and final Champions League place this season.
The Standard says that key players such as Jan Vertonghen, Hugo Lloris and Kyle Walker will all be part of the squad that will travel to Ukraine.
Dnipro are managed by former Spurs boss Juande Ramos who offered his opinion on the club he used to manage ahead of next weekas clash, saying they are more interested in the resale of players than competing for honours.
Ramos told the Daily Mail: aWhy arenat Spurs going to win the league? Because they are always a small step below those three or four teams. Economically it works well but in sporting terms it needs a slight tunin

Team news.
"Tim Sherwood reported that Younes Kaboul, Emmanuel Adebayor, Aaron Lennon, Hugo Lloris and Kyle Walker have all stayed behind as we prepare to face FC Dnipro in our Europa League Round of 32 first leg on Thursday night.

aThey will miss this game but we hope they will be ready (for Norwich) on Sunday. Itas an opportunity for the other lads.a
Sandro (calf) remains out, but is on the comeback trail having played 50 minutes for our Under-21s on Monday. Erik Lamela and Vlad Chiriches (back) also remain sidelined."

How many times do you have to be warned about them being dangerous on the break?
When we lose possession there is no midfield. Who is paying the holding Role?? We look really disorganised there.
As for the chance that he hit friedel, it looked offside, but where was Rose's cover.
We started well, and then just sort of disintegrated.
Pitch is a complete joke. That has a lot to do with it. The control is not so close, the ball is sticking and bobbling. Won't be surprised if there are some injuries out there, some twisted ankles and ligaments.
Got a feeling if we keep committing the same mistake, they will eventually score.
Got to be organised out of possession and defend as a unit and bury our chances otherwise we could get done.
A word at halftime, sort out the midfield situation and the discipline as a whole because as it stands we are lucky we are not going in behind.
Then, 2nd half hopefully we can come out and finish this leg.

Ploughed field.
Need to be a bit more direct, one goal could settle this.

Penalty?
Looked Outside the box to me, and more clearly than Paulinho's but the commentators did not seem to mention this?
Not much contact there either. Not as much as the bentaleb one - which they never replayed.
Anyway we had it coming.
How many times have we lost the ball and been done on the break?
FFS it's pathetic.
Rose is a liability as a defender and Dawson, well he's too quick to commit and has been shown up again for lack of pace.

Sherwood has been in charge for 3 cup games and has lost them all.

Poor performance all round!
:blue:
Towny plainly not fit so why play him?
:?
Even Verts looked disinterested!!
Soldado showed some nice touches but has totally lost confidence in front of goal so why not try him in midfield?
Going to 2nd leg so hoping for something better than this beaten by a ****e team on a ****e pitch with a ****e manager!!
:O
But wot does that say about us?

Well you'd think after a few times of hem exploiting the space between the left and CB position -like everyone has because of Rose's bad positional sense - and the ball over the top we would have learned not to lose the ball cheaply and get someone to sit in midfield.
You would have thought that after being very lucky to go in HT level Sherwood would have said: ' lets drop the high defensive line and give them less space to exploit behind the defence with their pace. Close them down in midfield, don't let them settle keep possession and work hard as a unit. We have pace an are great on the break, so let's be patient.
Yet we come out and do exactly the same as in the first half. Losing the ball cheaply, with silly shots and loose passes and then being hit on the break.
I think Sherwood showed his lack of tactical knowledge tonight.
However, JR had a game plan and it could have paid off on at least 3 times the first half, and eventually did.
What was ours?
Just go out there and enjo
