Season ticket holders have already paid, so the club have the income from those people.

It is the ones who turn up on the day, the ones who buy if and when. They are the ones who count at this stage. If there was a massive loss of income on match day sales, that would get their arseholes into gear.

Mind you, it wouldn't be a massive loss, the complimentary tickets they give out are a joke. They give away that many you cannot get rid of them for nowt in the pub.
