British film director Steve McQueen referred to Wigan's goal at Wemberleeeeee in his BAFTA acceptance speech, but not by specific.
Honest - it was on the BBC radio 4 this morning - so must be true.
It was obvious who he was talking about tho. 'It's like you get a corner at the end of the game, the ball goes in and then you have to hang on'. Apparently directing a film is similar to Wigan playing football. I assume his films are similar to watching Wigan ... if so I'm not going!!
