I'll be watching, but won't be taking much notice until kick off. It's something to do with having to listen to Adrian "bennie" Chiles ;D

Here's hoping for a better second half. Sturridge denied at close range by Schmeichel. Sturridge also had a shot/cross that was driven across the goal area. Sterling also fails to connect after a good move involving Sturridge, Rooney and Ashley Cole. Sturridge should be the focal point of the England attack.

England getting closer, but will they run out of time?

Both goalkeepers not had a lot to do, but Schmeichel nakes a couple of saves in last five minutes or so. He denies Welbeck, and turns away Sturridge's powerful effort. Hart has only real had one decent save to make, he does well to stop Rasmussen.

Finally a goal, Sturridge heads in after good work from Adam Lallana.

1-0 England. Scored by the man who, arguably deserved it most - Daniel Sturridge!

It had all of the hallmarks of a friendly - no urgency at all. We need to do vastly better than that! :s

Positives tonight, clean sheet and a decent second half for Lallana and Sturridge. Sturridge when played up top will score goals, as he does for Liverpool. Hodgson probably knows his starting eleven for the opening world cup game anyway.

I thought Hoddell was back in charge with passes going backwards and forwards across the back and no penetration up front.Everyone trying one trick too many. Rooney needs to leave centreforward position to Wellbeck or Sturridge far more effective and even better when Llanna came on
