Rovers sign Liam Feeney from Milwall

Blackburn Rovers have signed Millwall winger Liam Feeney on loan for the remainder of the season.

Feeney, 27, began his career in non-league football with Hayes and then Salisbury City, before joining Bournemouth at the age of 22 in 2009.

He made over 120 appearances for the Cherries before signing for Millwall in August 2011.

Feeney has already spent some of this season on loan at Bolton, and has featured 22 times this term.

Hmmm... I have had a look at a Millwall fans-site. Most of them seem to be glad to see him go, and several mention wanting Chris Taylor back there instead. Feeney plays in the same position.

Yes I was a little surprised at this signing as we have an embarrassment of riches on the wing but our weak area in centre mid is left in its poor state.
As long as Mr bowyer pins his hopes on Lowe and Williamson being our saviours we are going to be nothing more than mid table at best.

Id have thought a central defender or a creative midfielder is more necessary!!
