Haven't seen the remake. Thats the one I've got. A film by Hideo Nakata, Japanese with subtitles.
He telt me to watch it on my own in the dark :s

The US remake is pysh.

A lot of Asian horrors are terrifying. Try the Grudge (original, of course).
