Jose Riga's first game in charge after Chris Powell was harshly dismissed by the Club's new owners earlier this week resulted in a 0-0 draw.

Hardly the stuff needed to stave off relegation but some of the underperforming players upped their game at least in the first half to give Charlton more of an attacking threat and chances but as usual the end product was lacking.

Astrit Ajdarevic, Marvin Sordell and Reza Ghoochannejhad all missed good opportunities for the Addicks, Nahki Wells, Danny Ward and Jonathan Hogg also went the closest for Huddersfield Ben Hamer doing well to keep out all their efforts.

Three minutes in, coinciding with his shirt number as a player, the fans gave Powell rousing applause for a full 60 seconds - just like Curbs some years before him, his legacy remains undimmed but there was never a proper farewell or send-off.

Charlton now face a string of important fixtures they need to win at least 6 if they are to reamain in this division next season starting a
