Even though we went on to win following the substitutions, Winnall coming off for Hayes actually had a negative effect on the game. A poor decision that we were lucky to get away with really. Service from midfield to the strikers was poor and the defence chaotic at certain moments. I don't think Slocombe makes a particularly commanding goalkeeper when sorting out his defence during corners and free kicks and he certainly isn't captain material in my view.
Great goal and a poor penalty. We were lucky to come away with all three points but I'll certainly take them!
