after the latest 'misdimeanour' at school, I was standing outside the headmaster's office awaiting my punishment, this teacher went past, muttering...'I wouldn't like to be in your shoes Gee'
I still puzzle over this remark, was it...
a) because they were chizel toe shoes (one of the fashions in the early 60's)
or
b) because they were size 5 and he looked more like a size 9/10...
I guess it was likely to be (b) on the grounds that they would have crippled him...rather than looking rather silly having dispensed with his brogues for a pair of chizel tips!
