But after coming through 90 minutes in Monday nighta??s Under-21 match against Manchester United at White Hart Lane, Tim confirmed the midfielder is back in contention as we prepare to face the 26-year-olda??s former club.
Tim also reported that Michael Dawson and Roberto Soldado have both returned to training after respective hamstring injuries.
Jan Vertonghen (ankle), Kyle Walker (pelvis), Etienne Capoue (ankle) and Erik Lamela (back) remain sidelined."
