Probably something my Uncle said to me when I was a child ... To always look for the funny side of life or a situation ...

An old bloke in the pub once told me (as an 18 yr old), Never put ya Knob where ya wouldn't put ya Gob. So I aint put it in a bowl of broccoli since ;) .

Still laugh about the auld bugger now. He must be dead over 20 odd years.

Sorry LMV, Win and Rosie if I have offended.

I was given advice when I got married, and that was to not go to bed angry, air your differences before you go to sleep.

I realized 5 years later, that advice doesn't work for every couple.

So Chilli? is on the cards?????

With you there Yubbs, we used to tease him about food stuffs and his two worded reply always ended in OFF. He was extremely un-pc, a dinosaur if you like and would often use the phrase when others were discussing things like prostitutes or same *** relationships etc, if you know what I mean.

This was early 80's mate and tolerance wasn't tolerated, especially among the old school god- fearing generation.

"If you haven't got anything good to say about someone, don't say anything"

My gran told me this when I was knee high to a grasshopper. Wish I'd listened :(
