There has to be a side to his game that we've not seen, as he is highly regarded at this level.

I can imagine him being very useful if he put more effort in as he's big and powerful. Unfortunately, he doesn't look like a player that wants to get signed up permanently.

You usually see loan players putting in 150% either to impress their new club into buying them or to show the club that farmed them out what they are missing out on, I havent seen this from Trotter so apart from having the best to play for Wanderers its a no from me

I'm not a Liam Trotter fan. I think he's a bit lazy and he looks disinterested most of the time, he is also pretty soft for such a big lad as well.

Unfortunately, I think Dougie has already made his mind up and he will try and sign him in the summer.

I'd rather we sign Moritz i hear his contract expires with us this summer.I'd rather Moritz clear off to be honest. He is a luxury that we can't afford to carry and I see he's injured yet again. I would much rather us sign a more injury free player than him.

For me, Trotter is the Fellaini of Bolton. He should be very useful, given his size and strength, but doesn't apply himself correctly.

I think Dougie is playing him in hope that he'll gradually improve and be the player he was at Millwall again. I never saw him play for Millwall, I'm assuming people are right when they say he was great there.

To be fair, Trotter was supposed to be great at Millwall and Ipswich, we just haven't yet seen what he is apparently capable of. I presume Dougie is playing Trotter in most games, is so he can maybe sign him in the summer. I mean Trotter won't want to sign for us if Dougie benches him all the time.

I wouldn't sign him but I think Doogie will.
