Drug dealer threatens to end Everton youngster Ross Barkley's career.
England international Ross Barkley has received a Twitter threat to end his career from a convicted drug dealer.
The Everton star, aged 20, received the tweet in an alleged row over a girl.
It was reportedly sent by Sam Walker, aged 30, who has previously served time for being part of a heroin and crack cocaine dealing gang.
The message, sent two months ago, read: "Inbox me a number for you, ya little rat!
"You know wot this is about so don't play stupid or your footie career will come to an end!"
The Daily Mirror claims the row relates to Barkley going out with an ex-girlfriend of the gangster.
The pair have since had "discussions" after meeting in ALiverpool nightclub Playground, the report claims.
A Merseyside Police spokesman told the Mirror the force "received unsubstantiated information from a third party about alleged threats towards a 20-year-old man in south Liverpool".
